Helix Aviation Academy offers unique pathways to opportunity that do not exist elsewhere in the city.
Helix Aviation Academy is the first public school of its kind in Louisiana that is located on an airport and focuses on preparing students for college and careers in aviation and cyber technology. It is part of Helix Community Schools, a homegrown network of public charter schools headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana which also includes Helix Mentorship STEAM Academy and Helix Legal Academy. Helix will also open its fourth K-12 school, Helix Artificial Intelligence and Medical Academy, in Opelousas, Louisiana in August 2025. At Helix, we are committed to exposing students to innovative academic choices in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM). We also provide college and career pathways for our students in aviation, legal, and STEAM professions.
At Helix Aviation Academy, we believe in the importance of early preparation. Take a moment to visit Helix Aviation Academy to see what we have to offer for your child.
We don’t just give students an education and experiences that set them up for success in a career. We help them succeed in their career—to discover a field they’re passionate about and dare to lead it.
